Monash a winner in the latest university rankings

Monash University ranks 73rd in the world and 3rd in Australia in the 2019 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) ShanghaiRankings.

Moving up by 18 spots from ranking 91st in 2018, this achievement follows the recent release of the ShanghaiRankings' 2019 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) in which Monash ranked second in Australia and No.1 in nine subjects nationally.

President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Margaret Gardner AO says these results are a testament to the university’s focus and commitment to excellence. The announcement also follows the new Times Higher Education World Reputation rankings, where Monash rose 17 places to place in the top 100 universities in the world.
