Description:
Data warehousing is an important consideration for any business collecting large amounts of data, because there is a need to find ways to integrate that data into decision support mechanisms. ‘Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing’ situates data warehousing in its historical context, and the development of today’s data warehousing methodologies, using relational database management systems, in combination with multi-dimensional modelling for structuring business intelligence data. You will learn about the different facets of data warehousing, including architecture, design, implementation and optimisation, and acquire hands-on experience developing data warehouse modelling and OLAP using relational database management systems.
