Digitalisation can be thought of as the use of digital technologies, platforms, systems and methods to change business models, create new products and services, and introduce new ways of generating value. Digital transformation is the innovative process of making a business digital in terms of its products, services, and/or operations.

This unit explores the contemporary application of innovation approaches for digital transformation by building on a foundation of the innovation process and models such as design thinking, business model canvas, customer experience mapping and agile implementation.
