Description:

This unit will provide students an entry into the world of learning analytics. They’ll learn the fundamentals, general issues, challenges and relationships with other fields. This unit examines and provides a critical appraisal the three critical dimensions of learning analytics: data analytics, design and theory.

At the end of this unit, students will understand how learning analytics can be used for personalisation and decision making and consider the ethical use of data in privacy contexts.
