Description:
‘Safety and quality in healthcare’ investigates the historical, political and social factors that inform quality measurement in health care. Through use of epidemiological and statistical quality measurement principles, you will examine the relationship of industrial and healthcare quality monitoring, as well as the strengths and limitations of current monitoring techniques. With an understanding of clinical indicator programs, adverse event monitoring, satisfaction surveys and benchmarking, you will discover how quality improvement programs can be designed and implemented to substantially approve healthcare quality.
