Description:

‘Safety and quality in health care’ investigates the historical, political and social factors that inform quality measurement in health care. Through use of epidemiological and statistical quality measurement principles, you will examine the relationship of industrial and health care quality monitoring, as well as the strengths and limitations of current monitoring techniques. With an understanding of clinical indicator programs, adverse event monitoring, satisfaction surveys and benchmarking, you will discover how quality improvement programs can be designed and implemented to substantially approve health care quality.
