If you aren’t sure which direction to take, you can start with one unit and develop your own combination of components. Alternatively, if you’re interested in generalising, you can complete units across the three themes to create your own multi-faceted qualification.
We include generous credit options for university students and Monash online learners who have completed units from a range of disciplines. This option allows you to pivot and try different themes as you consider your study and career choices.

If you want to move into a leadership role in the technology industry this theme develops your skills with a focus on digital literacy, sustainable data and using AI for good. You’ll build an understanding of digital enterprise and its transformative, digitalisation process for products, services, and operations.
With current rapid advancements you’ll examine the intersection between the law and digital world. We empower you to step forward as an influencer of positive change and new solutions for sustainable growth.

If you have a vision of sustainable practice and leadership within an organisational context, you’ll explore these practices and incorporate them into your business decisions. We empower you to step forward as a leader implementing responsible growth for thriving communities.
This theme focuses on complex issues around social entrepreneurship, diversity, inclusion, and social justice. You’ll build and demonstrate a broad knowledge of the sustainability challenges faced by enterprises and understand their role in contributing to innovative and entrepreneurial solutions.
Lead into the future with compassion and a creative mindset.
If you have a passion for creating psychologically safe and future-proofed workplaces, this theme will upgrade your leadership skills, helping you to expand in your current role, solve problems or realise your goals as an entrepreneur.
Expand your mindset and understand yourself as a leader, engaging stakeholders in complex and paradoxical contexts. You’ll advance your skills in contemporary theory and learn to problem solve wholistically. Become a leader of transformation by combining technological progress and sustainability in your business strategies.
This course is structured in four parts. Part A. Foundation studies, Part B. Specialisation, Part C. Open Units.
You must complete the Foundational Units and choose a minimum of three units from the three specialisations;
- Digital Enterprise
- Sustainable Enterprise
- Enterprising Leadership
You will then have 30 credit points of units to choose from open units. This can be covered in extra specialisation units, any units offered across the Monash online programs as long as you have the prerequisite and there are no restrictions on enrolling in the unit or with select industry project units.
Credit for prior learning is also available.

Part A. Foundation Studies (18 Credit Points)
Part B. Specialisations (18 credit points)
The Master of Enterprise features three specialisations in Digital Enterprise, Sustainable Enterprise and Enterprising Leadership.
You must choose a minimum of three units from the below specialisations.
If you choose all three units within a theme, you will be awarded with that specialisation upon graduating.
Part C. Global Challenge (6 credit points)
The focus of this unit is to provide broader exposure and understanding of global and enterprise challenges.
You must complete the below unit.
Credit for Prior Learning
Build on your previous postgraduate study and turn it into a full master’s with credit for prior learning. Subject to confirmation by Monash Online, you can claim up to six units that count towards your Master of Enterprise.

Part D. Open Units (30 credit points)
You must complete five units from the following options:
- units not already completed in Part B. Specialisation of the Master of Enterprise and/or
- units not already completed in Part C. Global Challenge of the Master of Enterprise and/or
- units offered across the Monash online programs as long as you have the prerequisite and there are no restrictions on enrolling in the unit and/or

Entry level 1: 72 points to complete
Duration: 2 years part-time
An Australian bachelor degree or equivalent qualification with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60, or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA), plus two years relevant work experience.
Entry level 2: 48 points to complete
Duration: 1.4 years part-time
A Monash University Graduate Certificate of Enterprise with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60.
A Monash University Graduate Certificate of Digital Enterprise with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60.
A Monash University Graduate Certificate of Enterprising Leadership with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60.
A Monash University Graduate Certificate of Sustainable Enterprise with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60.
For the Master of Enterprise, the estimated cost is $4,125 per unit. You may be eligible to receive a FEE-HELP loan to cover part or all of your tuition. Fees are subject to change annually.
Please note: In the Open Units section of the course structure, if your selected open units do not fall under the Faculty of Business and Economics, you will need to look at the fees for that unit from that faculty, as they may differ.
